How old is your site ? A redesign is not needed just because it needs to look better. It needs to have the latest web coding too! Search engines don't like sites with outdated programming. If it's been a while since your site was built it may be time for a re-design!

Many of you are wondering how to make good use of Twitter. I found a great article from sitepoint.com about using Twitter to follow your clients and keep up with them.

From time to time people ask me how to capture a web page, so I'm giving you my secret! FireShot. Read all about it.

I know ski season is over, but this months video just cracked me up. We can all use a good laugh right?

As always, remember to Surf Safely - use your anti-virus and firewall's!

"Easily Find and Follow Your Clients on Twitter" from sitepoint.com

So, you have a business Twitter account, but lack the time to try and find all your clients on there as well? Here's a great idea that worked well for my business.

Most of us should have a contact list or sales software that can export all our client contacts to a file, or a newsletter subscriber list in which you can export the email addresses.

It's a little known fact that Twitter allows you to check your contacts on Gmail, Yahoo, or AOL email using their clever Find Friends tool. Once you've assembled a list of client email addresses from your internal systems, finding out if they're on Twitter is fairly painless.

Start by exporting your clients' names and email addresses to a CSV (comma-separated values) file. Then, create a new Gmail account purely for this purpose. When logged in, click the Contacts link on the left-hand side of the email view.

Click the Import link on the top-right of the Contacts screen. Choose your CSV file, and upload. Once saved, jump back to Twitter and enter the email address and password for your Gmail account.

Voila! Twitter will work its magic and let you know which contacts have a Twitter account, enabling you to follow them all at once.

Best of luck growing that Twitter follower list.

Oh, and before you export your email contacts or massive newsletter subscriber list, consider if the recipients really want you following them on Twitter. This is particularly true if the subscribers use personal accounts, rather than business ones. In these cases, you may be better off leaving them out of your list.

Need to capture web pages - the complete page? Here is a great little add on for either FireFox or IE that lets you capture the visible or entire web page then save it or edit it. I've tried others, but this is my favorite by far!
